For one Bible
verse that says either
"Ask Jesus into your heart"
The
phrase "ask Jesus into your heart" came from a song,
not the Bible. The one and only condition to have eternal
life is to believe in Jesus Christ. Since asking and believing
don't mean the same thing, it would be impossible for a person
to go to heaven by asking.
Is suicide an unforgivable sin?
Many people look at suicide
as an unforgivable sin because it is the only sin you can't
ask forgiveness for. But asking forgiveness is never given
as a requirement to enter heaven. The forgiveness required
to enter heaven is received upon believing, not asking (Acts
13:38,39; Acts 10:43,44).
And once a person has received that forgiveness he will never
face hell for his sins, and that would include suicide. Jesus
promised "that whoever believes
in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John
3:15).
